More greetings from Mexico
Check this out. Fresh garbanzo beans (chick peas) found at our local Mexican market in their little husks. My daughter, Emma, bought me a wooden container in the shape of clover at the same market, which is ideal for 3 munchies, in this case jicoma with lime, freshly made salsa and these lovely garbanzos….
I tossed them in lime juice and a touch of cayenne, popped them out of their husks and ate them raw. I’m sure they’re also great roasted or fried with Indian spices or smoked paprika, but their gentle flavor doesn’t need much gussying up.
